BS5467 Cable – XLPE Armoured (SWA) Low Voltage Power Cable
BS5467 cable from Ruitian is an XLPE armoured low voltage power cable – armour single layer of galvanised steel wires (SWA) on multi-core cable
Welcome all customers of home and abroad to visit our company, to forge a brilliant future by our cooperation. Welcome all nice buyers to communicate details of our products with us!
BS5467 Cable: XLPE Armoured (SWA) Power Cable
Features & Benefits:
-
High-Quality Conductor: The cable features a plain annealed copper stranded conductor (class 2) in accordance with BS EN 60228 class 2 standards. This ensures excellent conductivity and efficient power transmission.
-
British Standard Approved: The BS5467 cable complies with the British Standard BS5467, meeting the strict requirements and quality standards set for power cables.
-
Core Identification: The cores of the cable are identified by color-coding. The standard color codes include blue-brown, brown-black-grey, blue-brown-black-grey, blue-brown-black-grey-green/yellow, and for cables with 7-48 cores, white cores with printed numbers. This allows for easy identification and proper connection during installation.
-
Enhanced Protection: The cable is designed with an extruded bedding compound and a PVC outer sheath. This provides an additional layer of protection against external factors, including moisture, abrasion, and chemical substances.
-
Wide Temperature Range: The BS5467 cable is suitable for a temperature range of 15°C to +90°C. It can operate reliably in both high and low-temperature environments, ensuring consistent performance.
-
Flexible Installation: The cable offers flexibility in installation due to its excellent mechanical impact resistance and flexibility. It can withstand the rigors of installation processes and adapt to different cable routing requirements.
-
Fire Performance: The BS5467 cable meets the fire performance standard BS EN 60332-1-2. This means it has excellent fire resistance, reducing the risk of spreading flames and contributing to overall safety.
-
Optimal Bending Radius: The cable has a recommended bending radius. For circular conductors, the radius is 6 times the cable's diameter (r = 6D), and for shaped conductors, it is 8 times the diameter (r = 8D). Adhering to these bending radii ensures proper cable installation and helps maintain its integrity.
The BS5467 cable with XLPE insulation and steel wire armour (SWA) is a reliable power cable, offering excellent electrical conductivity, protection, and durability. It is suitable for various applications, including power distribution networks, industrial installations, and commercial buildings.
