Faq about Unarmored Cable:

Q1: What is the difference between armored and unarmored cable?

Armored cable is a type of electrical cable that is encased in a flexible metal sheath. Armored cable is often used in areas where cables are exposed to physical damage, such as in industrial settings or in areas with heavy equipment. It is also used in areas where cables are buried underground or where they need to be protected from moisture.

Unarmored cable is a type of electrical cable that does not have a metal sheath or armor. It is simply a bundle of insulated wires enclosed in a protective outer jacket. Unarmored cable is often used in indoor applications where there is no risk of physical damage to the cable. It is also commonly used in residential and commercial buildings.

In summary, the main difference between armored and unarmored cable is the presence of a metal sheath or armor around the cable. Armored cable is more durable and resistant to physical damage, while unarmored cable is more suitable for indoor use where there is no risk of damage.
